Leah Dauer Murphy
Prior to forming Jane Hotel Group, Leah held executive and senior leadership roles with Cushman & Wakefield's Hospitality and Gaming Valuation and Advisory Group, as well as with HVS San Francisco.
During her 14-year consulting career, Leah underwrote various hospitality assets and land in excess of $12 billion in value. In addition to her valuation and advisory experience, she has nearly 7 years of operational experience in the hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, bars, and theme parks.
Leah is an adamant supporter of hospitality education through her involvement with the Washington State Alumni Association, the Castell Project, and historically as a guest lecturer at the Collins College of Hospitality Management at Cal Poly Pomona. She served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Chapter of the Appraisal Institute between 2018 and 2021 and is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI). Leah is currently a member of TEMPO Milwaukee, as well as a volunteer with Hanan Refugees Relief Group
Although born in Seattle, Washington, Leah spent a large portion of her childhood living in Frankfurt, Germany. Her family relocated back to the United States to Utah and then to Northern California (Walnut Creek). Leah holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Hospitality Business Management and a Master’s in Business Administration from Washington State University.
Leah currently resides in the Milwaukee area with her husband and two children. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, cooking, attending concerts/sporting events, and playing ice hockey.
