As 2024 draws to a close, I'm reflecting on a remarkable year of growth and impact for Jane Hotel Group. Here are our key highlights and achievements that shaped this transformative year.
Building Community in Real Estate & Hospitality
Our Real Estate InvestHER Milwaukee Meetup flourished in its new home, growing to over 120 members. We expanded our impact by launching the Female Founders in Hospitality Real Estate Mastermind group, creating a powerful network of industry leaders.
Contributing to the next generation of hospitality professionals, I had the privilege of guest lecturing at Penn State's School of Hospitality Management. Participating in InvestHERcon and STRIVE's programs further enriched our professional development initiatives.
Industry Engagement & Strategic Growth
This year marked significant strides in our business development:
Launched specialized consulting services for hotel owners
Evaluated six potential hotel acquisitions, making strategic offers on three properties
Strengthened industry connections through the AHLA Forward Conference and authored a conference summary featured in Hertelier.
Engaged with TEMPO Milwaukee, with highlights including a program featuring Robin DiAngelo and the Leadership Summit with Soledad O'Brien.
Expanded our network through active participation in Milwaukee REIA, WINGs, and WiscoREIA MKE
Community Impact & Personal Milestones
We deepened our community involvement through partnerships with the Hanan Refugee Relief Group. Participated in monthly Sandwich Drives with Bay Bridge, JOMM Food Bank, and The Guest House, helping support our local community. On a personal note, highlights included a dream stay at the Fairmont Château Lake Louise, welcoming our Bernese Mountain Dog puppy Penny, and leading the Shamrockettes to a third-place victory in the Hootenanny Hockey Tournament.
